Advantages of flash dryer equipment

Flash dryers are used to mix and pulverize lumpy wet materials and ensure that particles do not remain in the high-temperature zone of the drying chamber for too long. Therefore, there should be a reasonable clearance between the stirring blades and the bottom and walls of the chamber, and the stirring speed should also be appropriately selected. A good sealing device is used between the stirring shaft and the bottom of the drying chamber. The classifier is a perforated ring, similar to an orifice flow meter, but with an angle. The orifice diameter and height depend on the distribution of product particles. When the height is constant, the smaller the orifice diameter, the finer the product particle size. Adding a classifying ring inside the flash dryer is one of the key applications of the third-generation product technology developed by Anhai Danuo Company. It is crucial for controlling the particle size of the product and greatly improves the product qualification rate.

Rotary flash dryers are used to dry the moisture outside the material. Wet materials are separated into the heated airflow through the drying air duct of the flash dryer, and drying occurs within seconds. Rotary flash dryers are used in a wide range of industrial sectors, including food, chemicals, minerals, and polymers. They can handle a wide variety of materials, including powders, lumps, granules, flakes, pastes, gels, and slurries (reverse mixing of wet and dry materials is necessary when processing slurries, pastes, or viscous materials).

The drying chamber of a flash dryer is equipped with a classifying ring and swirl vanes, allowing for adjustable material fineness and final moisture content (e.g., the final moisture content of calcium carbonate can be adjusted to ≤0.1%). Compared to other drying methods, it effectively increases the specific gravity of the material. The high circumferential air velocity and short material residence time within the drying chamber effectively prevent material sticking to the walls and deterioration of heat-sensitive materials. Due to the rotating flow of the gas and solid phases, the solid phase has greater inertia than the gas phase, resulting in a higher relative velocity between the two phases, enhancing mass and heat transfer. Therefore, this machine boasts high production intensity. Flash dryers have a wide range of applications, large production capacity, good product quality, high efficiency, and energy saving.
